LIEDMOVIES leads to the initially silent place of a painting gallery, whose pictures then alternately awaken to singing and sound. As in the performance “Une Mystification“, songs by Debussy (i.e., the “early avant-garde”) are linked here with the classical avant-garde of the New York School (there with poems by O’Hara, here with a composition by John Cage).
