The concert performance invites into the three-story rotunda of a converted bank building. It counters the prose of money with an intervention full of magic, metamorphoses, and transgression of boundaries. At its heart are the intimate “Contes” (tales) of French composer Augusta Holmès (1847-1903) and her mysterious world of cats, clouds, and magical roots.
